Hi, I’m Nina. And I’m Rajhon! We’re
student ambassadors here at Montclair State University. Thanks for joining us for a brief
tour of our beautiful 252 acre campus. There’s a lot to show you, so let’s go! We’re
starting at College Hall. It’s the oldest building on campus, built in 1908. It’s
also where we begin our tour when you’re here in person. Haven’t scheduled a tour
yet? Sign up at our website for a group or personal tour with a student ambassador like
me. Or me! And this is University Hall, home of Montclair State’s nationally ranked College
of Education and Human Services. Like all our programs, professors here give you the
personal attention you expect from a much smaller school. But, you get the classes and
hand-on learning opportunities you’d find at a big university. Our new School of Communication
and Media opened in 2012. Its unique programs are preparing our students for the future
of media. The College of the Arts has some of the coolest programs on campus, from music
and dance to fashion studies and musical theater. Our graduates star on Broadway, play Carnegie
Hall, and do some amazing work in film and television. College of Science and Mathematics
students help their professors research everything, from lifesaving drugs to the Antarctic ice-melt.
Want a competitive edge? Check out our School of Business where Montclair State students
have what it takes to be the leaders of tomorrow. In our College of Humanities and Social Sciences,
students can study everything, from Spanish to Chinese, in our brand new language labs.
And there’s a lot more than studying going on at Montclair State University. You can
join a club, fraternity, or sorority, or an intramural sports team! Stop for sushi, run
on Dunkin, or grab some vegas fries at our Guy Fieri on Campus celebrity restaurant.
And work it off at one of the best rec centers you’ll find anywhere. With 77,000 square
feet, it has it all! A six-lane indoor heated swimming pool, two racquetball courts, an
indoor track, and all the latest in exercise equipment. Our next stop is our student residence
halls. Over 5,000 students live here at Montclair State, including 2,000 right here in The Heights.
It has all the comforts of home, from cable TV, WiFi, and air conditioning, to comfy lounge
and study areas. And, because it’s built with environmentally friendly materials, it’s
green inside and out! Once more, we have winning teams in 17 NCAA Division III sports including
track and field, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse. And don’t forget to stop at the
bookstore for your MSU gear. Of course you can’t see everything Montclair State has
to offer in just 3 minutes. Come see for yourself why Montclair State is right for you. It’s All Here!
